Who are EQUESTPLUS?

EQUESTPLUS based in County Meath, Ireland  have a wealth of knowledge dealing with international students having been involved in the family business of INTERNSPLUS for many years. 

INTERNSPLUS www.internsplus.ie established in 2011 are an Educational Consultancy based in Dublin who specialise in arranging internships and study programmes for students on ERASMUSPLUS, over the years they have arranged programmes for thousands of international students and have gained an excellent reputation for the quality of their services and personal care.

EQUESTPLUS have identified a gap in the market for a provider of internships in the Equine/Agri-Tourism/Agriculture sectors in Ireland. We  have indepth knowledge of the horse industry in Ireland as horse owners and competitors which gives us  a unique 360 insight into what is required to provide a quality service. The combination of these factors makes us  an excellent choice as a host partner in Ireland for sending schools//agencies/Universities seeking internship opportunities for their students  in this sector. As well as placements in these sectors we can also arrange placements in many other sectors (business/commercial) on request.

Work experience can be with stud farms, riding schools,
pony trekking providers or small family yards.

Typical types of roles:

Stable Hand/Groomer/Horse Aupair

Whatever type of placement you would be expected to muck out stables, keeping the yard and equipment clean, grooming and exercising horses and depending on ability riding horses. Horse Aupairs mainly look after the hosts children and also help out at the stables.
For more experienced students placements can also be arranged in Horse Therapy/Farrier/Veterinarian/Showjumping.

Placements are typically in the countryside but on some occasions, placements can be in Dublin

Students get to experience day to day life on a working farm, gaining hands-on experience, developing confidence in farming and speaking English.

Agritourism
Many farms now taking paying guests as a way to supplement their income. This is an ideal opportunity for hospitality/tourism students who want a different experience. You would be expected to help with guests, serving meals, housekeeping, taking bookings and help out in general on the farm. Perfect for the student who likes meeting people, practising their English as well as gaining hospitality experience and at the same time enjoying the beautiful countryside of Ireland.

Placements are in rural areas around the countryside, some of these placements will include accommodation at the farm.

Interning or training with a company in Ireland is one of the smartest career moves you can make, ERASMUSPLUS participants can use the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge in a real life working environment, gain practical experience and improve professional terminology through English. Work placements can be arranged in a wide variety of different sectors on request in the following areas.

We accept high school/vocational students, university students and apprentices for periods from 3 weeks to 3 months. We provide a full range of services including work placements, English language training, accommodation, cultural programmes and airport transfers.

SERVICES

ACCOMMODATION

This accommodation option allows you to practice your social English language skill and experience the Irish way of life. We have an established network of friendly hosts countrywide who will ensure you have an enjoyable stay in their home. Accommodation available in single or twin rooms on a half board basis (breakfast and evening meal included). In some instance, accommodation may be available at the at the place of internship either on a farm or stud.

GROUP STUDY VISITS

We can customise a one week or two week study/visit programme to EQUESTRIAN or AGRICULTURAL sites depending on the groups studies/sector.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE COURSE

Our partner English language school are located in Dublin, Carlow, Galway, Cork and Wexford, we can arrange an English course prior to commencement of intemship in one of these œntres depending on the location of the work placement.
